World Book Day 2022
Gillian Stewart, Wednesday, March 02, 2022

This year, World Book Day is being celebrated on March 3rd. It is the 25th anniversary of this exciting day for children, with the message “you are a reader”.

Books are an important part of a child’s upbringing. They are not only educational but provide fun, enjoyment, a love of language and an opportunity for children to lose themselves in a creative world.

Some children find it difficult to differentiate between the real world and make believe. Books can help them to understand this concept.

There are so many wonderful books for children to enjoy and explore.

Libraries are a welcoming place for children to browse books. Libraries also put on a variety of activities and themed events for children. A great trip out on a wet afternoon!

Have fun on World Book Day dressing your little one up and exploring new books together.

Make time everyday to look at books and read stories with your children. It is a very special time to share together.

Happy reading!
